When: Dog walks are conducted Monday to Friday, 9am till 6pm.  Additional times, like weekends, are available upon request.                

Where: We will pick your dog(s) up at your residence or office, and drive them to one of several open-space areas in Marin County, CA. We walk in Corte Madera, Larkspur, Kentfield, San Anselmo, and San Rafael. Our business is one of only three that are permitted to walk dogs in this area! We are also, of course, Marin Open Space certified.                                   

How we will get started: There will be an initial meeting where we can get to know each other. I will present you with my credentials, explain my business policies and most importantly, my philosophy regarding the group walk; references will be available as well. 

I will also evaluate your canine buddy with a walk (an hour or so).  This brief walk is used to create a bond between myself and your animal. He or she will be introduced to traveling in my truck and all the smells and sounds that come with it. I may bring another dog from one my groups to act as a behavioral role model for the new dog.  This helps your dog by providing socially calming clues and behavior when your dog is in a "first time" environment.  After the walk I will give you feedback on how the walk went.  Any other questions you may have can also be resolved at this time.                                                               

A typical dog walking session: The actual walks consist of a minimum of 45 minutes and are broken down into segments that typically include:

• Pre-walk potty time, 5-10 mins.

• Pack walking with intent (exercise resulting in panting), 20-25 mins.

• Pack break for sniffing, drinking water, greeting other dogs and ball play.

• Another 10-15 mins. of pack walking with intent

• Finally, we have another 5-10 minute pack break before we head back to the truck.

Treats and affection are sprinkled throughout the duration of the walk.  I will work with your dog teaching them basic obedience (sit, stay, down, come, etc ) and the packs rules.  I will also give them the freedom to safely explore the world we share.  They will grow in confidence and experience.  You will see a difference in your dog within the first couple of weeks -- that is guaranteed.
